I began playing the ‘cello at the age of 7, and went on to learn both the piano and later double bass. I also learnt the recorder and flute as a child.

I have studied the cello with Chris Hoyle (RNCM, BBC Philharmonic) and Elizabeth Angel (ABRSM examiner, Festival Adjudicator, Bureau Piano Trio, freelance cellist). I also attended cello courses where I had lessons with Anna Shuttleworth (Cello Gathering, RCM, freelance cellist) and Sue Lowe (Cello Gathering, Eton College, Chethams School of music, Huddersfield and York Universities, freelance cellist). I attended Leeds College of Music where I obtained a degree in Music Technology.

I have played with many orchestras including the Huddersfield Philharmonic Orchestra, Leeds College of Music Symphony Orchestra and I currently play with the Wimbledon Symphony Orchestra.

I often play in the band for Lantern Arts Centre productions. These include playing for Joseph, Sound of Music, Westside Story, Hello Dolly, Guys and Dolls and Oklahoma. As well as joining the Southside Theatre Academy for their production of Les Miserable.

I have performed in concert halls such as Huddersfield Town Hall, Bridgewater Hall ( Manchester), Royal Festival Hall and Cadogan Hall.

I have played music most of my life with much enjoyment and love to be able to pass that enjoyment on to anyone who wishes to learn.
